My Human Being Owner’s Manual is a fabulous self help book with a difference – it is all about you and I mean that literally for this is an active manual in which you physically write down all of your most inner thoughts with the help of some very thought provoking interactive exercises. Pat Hansen is a Certified Life coach and is therefore more qualified than most to write and guide you through this manual. In fact, it was Pat’s decision to discover for herself what was making her so unhappy in her life, despite being very successful at the time, that became the basis for this idea. I haven’t come across such an active self-help book as this before and the whole concept is a refreshing change from the usual self-help books available on the subject which sometimes require you to simply read passively.
The idea of this manual is that you will, over a course of time, feel confident enough to fill in your most honest answers, and consequently you will begin to see the areas of your life in which you feel you want to make changes to. It’s kind of like a life course, only you dedicate the pace as it’s about finding out who you are as an individual and producing your own set of guidelines based on your own personality. By answering thought provoking questions about ourselves, Pat hopes that each person will not only come to understand themselves better but perhaps allow themselves to live a truer, more fulfilling life.
This is a book that you can come back to at different parts of life’s journey and reassess where you are now to where you were then. It doesn’t need to be completed straight away in order to work, in fact you can come back to it time and time again and not every question needs to be answered in order for it to start to help you.
With thought provoking quotes to inspire appearing regularly throughout the book, My Human Being Owner’s Manual is a fun way to achieve the person/life you’ve always wanted, and a book that is all about you. This is a wonderful concept that would be also make a great gift for both men and women.
