Words of wisdom from a modern-day mystic in a language you can understand.
Conscious living involves being aware of what’s going on in your life and, more importantly, what’s going on in your mind.
How you experience life depends on what you choose to believe. If you never take the time to examine your beliefs, or to question your assumptions, you end up living unconsciously.
When you live unconsciously, you live your life according to somebody else’s beliefs. You end up trying to meet somebody else’s expectations and not your own.
Real change happens when you accept that there is only one thing that can be changed: how you choose to see things.
My Life is My Responsibility is a beautifully organised and carefully put together book that allows the reader to dip in and out of whenever they are in need of some insight regarding certain areas of life. The book acknowledges the concept that we, as human beings, inherit many of our current beliefs and ideologies, both good and unfortunately bad ones, from a number of sources including, family, schooling, culture and indeed social media. This book thereby encourages readers to think about these opinions and take stock of their own thoughts and feelings, thereby creating their own beliefs.
Peter encourages the additional use of a journal when working through some of the subjects as a way of simply recording your observations and insights that you may encounter along the way.
The book is a wonderful keepsake that you can return to time and time again with each chapter offering a discussion, ponder point and suggested action for each subject.
Many thanks to the lovely people at BooksGoSocial.com for allowing me to review this inspiring book.
